Fabulous Large Chinese Sancai glazed pottery figure of a Warrior. After 18th C Qing Dynasty Sancai warriors designed to ward off evil spirits & protect the owners. Roof Tile Qing Figure. Sancai means three (3) beautiful colors - green, yellow & white with blue and pink added. Important cultural artifacts of Chinese art & history. Hand glazed & painted tile of pottery showing warrior riding a large mythical lion also known as a Foo Dog.
The left facing warrior will stand on its own. However, it can be mounted on a wooden or Lucite block or mounted to hang on the wall. They look fabulous as a pair as shown in the last photo. The right facing warrior is also available in my ETC shop.
