Expressionist Still Life with goldfish and flowers by Nancy Upstill [signed l.r.]. Oil on canvas board with heavy impasto, 1965. Image size: 20 x 16" displayed in a period wood frame [ 23 x 19" overall].
Nancy Upstill [1916-82] attended the California School of Fine Arts SF in late 1950s and 60s, the peak era of San Francisco, abstract expressionism . She lived her later years in Sacramento. This is from an estate collection of her oils and watercolors in both modernist and expressionist style
