This exquisite Chinese porcelain teapot features an elegant and bold design in classic cobalt blue and white. Beautifully hand-painted, the surface is richly decorated with intricate dragons in medallions, scrolling clouds, and traditional floral elements — all symbols of strength, prosperity, and celestial power in Chinese culture. The tall, arched handle and curved spout add to the visual drama and sculptural beauty of the piece.
On the base of the teapot is a six-character mark inside double blue circles. The Chinese characters translate to: "Made in the Longqing period of the Great Ming Dynasty."
The Longqing Emperor ruled from 1567 to 1572, during the Ming Dynasty, a time known for its revival of classical Chinese arts and exceptional porcelain craftsmanship. While this mark honors that important historical era, this teapot was likely made later as a high-quality tribute to the Ming dynasty style.
This teapot is both a decorative showpiece and a collector’s item, offering timeless beauty and cultural significance to any home, gallery, or curated collection.
