I have no cleaned the wax from nor polished … Read more Vintage MCM made in Israel bronze candelabra with gorgeous verdigris patina. I have no cleaned the wax from nor polished this piece. Holds three taper candles , there are also 3 pomegranates in the design. Pomegranates are eaten on Rosh Hashanah they hold a significance due to the belief that pomegranates hold 613 seeds which corresponds with the 613 mitzvot or commandments in the Torah. Regardless of your faith this is a beautiful bronze candelabra with gold colored pomegranates featured in its design. I haven’t seen this particular design before, I’ve seen a very similar design with hands in the space atop the twisted stand element at the bottom. This is a cast piece & there are no marks to indicate any removal of an element, I’d guess that this must be an earlier or later version of a series. I’ve also seen these same elements of design with only two candleholders instead of the three I’m offering in this piece. See less
