It is dated 2/18/08 and has no rips on the surface. There are two "slices" underneath the seat cushion that look like they were made by a knife, but they do not hinder the structural integrity of the chair in any way. This comes from a gorgeous home on the North Shore of Long Island and was meticulously cared for. In the lead picture, which was taken in storage, there is a recessed portion to the back cushion, but that is just from something leaning on it in storage. As you can see, it is not there in the other pictures and will "bounce right back". This recliner features nailhead trim and rounded wooden feet. When it is fully reclined, it is 57" long. The foot rest protrudes 17". less
