These solid and sturdy dining chairs were manufactured by Broyhill, one of the fine furniture manufacturers of North Carolina. They … more These solid and sturdy dining chairs were manufactured by Broyhill, one of the fine furniture manufacturers of North Carolina. They were made when furniture was still manufactured in the U.S. and when quality standards were still impeccable. These chairs were the everyday dining chairs for a family of boys, and they had seen their share of wear! Consequently, they have been newly refinished, re-painted, and reupholstered. The layered effect of the paint finish was achieved with multiple coats of paint in varying hues of white and gray. This work was done by professional artist and painter Nadia Droleva, a recent refugee who fled Russia and who now does much of our creative work. The seats have been covered with a neutral linen blend fabric that will wear like iron. There are two captains chairs (armchairs) and six side chairs (chairs without arms). The captains chairs measure 34 inches tall by 24 inches wide by 22 inches deep; the seats are 18 inches above the floor. The side chairs measure 34 inches tall by 20 inches wide by 20 inches deep; the seats are 18 inches above the floor. (The measurements given in the "dimensions" section for this listing are for the side chairs.) less
