"Cathedral" style dining chairs designed by John McGuire feature a Gothic lancet arch style back with an open fretwork design reminiscent of a Chinese Chippendale style. The distinctive set consists of two host armchairs and two side chairs. The side chairs Measure 20.5 inches wide and the host chairs are 22.5 inches wide. The exposed joints are lashed together with cream-colored leather rawhide laces. The chairs have a lovely intentionally aged patina on the finish to mimic age. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a rich tobacco finish accented by the lighter colored leather strapping. Each chair has a newly upholstered seat cushion measuring 21 inches high finished with a neutral linen style fabric. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
