Important subject in carved beech dating from the late nineteenth century.
This work depicts a Breton woman dressed in traditional clothes, consisting of a long dress, a doily, epaulets, a headdress from the Carhaix-Plouguer region and wooden clogs. This bigoudène, returning from the market, holds a duck in her right hand and under her left arm a wicker basket filled with fruit or vegetables.
This sculpture in beech, worked with precision, will delight lovers of Brittany and art lovers.
