I had a long canvas that felt like it needed a narrative, and I started painting with an old black-and-white … Read more I had a long canvas that felt like it needed a narrative, and I started painting with an old black-and-white photograph of my aunts and uncles. It quickly became clear that there was a bizarre aspect to the painting, and I built on that theme further. Soon a baby hung by the moon, a giant rabbit appeared, and they were all in a field of flowers in the clouds. I hope this painting brings joy to the viewers and helps them remember the wonderful (and maybe strange) dreams of their childhood. See less
