The silver holders have bucolic scenes with the larger one with a floral ring surrounding the top edge and a romantic couple being followed by a milkmaid The second salt cellar has scenes of cherubs playing musical instruments and one of them getting spanked. Please see photos for hallmarks as they are marked with both genuine export marks, circa 1890, as well as as pseudo marks which were common during this period. Measurements for this fabulous creation are: Salt #1 Height from top to bottom=2-1/2 inches, diameter=3-1/2 inches, Salt #2 Height from top to bottom=2-3/8 inches, Diameter=3-1/2 inches. These marvelous antique open salt cellars have been well cared for, gently used and are in excellent condition, free from chips, cracks, damage or other imperfections.
