Portal VII by Morata is a One-of-a-Kind Contemporary Textured Metallic Artwork using only Organic Art Mediums healthy for our homes, offices, and earth. (3) 2 mm Swarovski strategically embedded into painting. I chose a small grouping of (3) Swarovski as this is a spiritual number to me, and is a number that is significant in many world religions.

Eco-Friendly Crushed Stone from Italy with international recyclable mediums are layered under the Oil and metallic pigments of silver and rust. Heat is applied before glazing. Painting sides are 1.5" canvas with lightly textured neutral grey edges; requiring no frame. Eco-friendly Archival Matte light Pearlescent Glaze invented by Morata completes this unique one-of-a-kind original artwork. Artist signed on front lower right edge and reverse.

Series Inspiration: Initially from beach portal on Treasure Island Beach behind The Montage Laguna while painting en plein air, and then further inspiration from my observations of other nature portals in desert and mountain regions. I view this specialty series in different ways; nature; mountains, rocks, castles, fantasy, planetary, spiritual. What do you see? I believe this series evokes conversation piece qualities.
