Portal IX by Morata is a One-of-a-Kind Contemporary Textured Metallic Artwork using only Organic Art Mediums healthy for our homes, offices, and earth. (3) 4 mm Swarovski was strategically embedded. I chose a small grouping of (3) Swarovski as this is a spiritual number to me, and is a number that is significant in many world religions.

Series Inspiration: Initially from beach portal on Treasure Island Beach behind The Montage Laguna while painting en plein air, and then further inspiration from my observations of other nature portals in desert and mountain regions. I view this specialty series in different ways; nature; mountains, rocks, castles, fantasy, planetary, spiritual. What do you see? I believe this series evokes conversation piece qualities.

Eco-Friendly Crushed Stone from Italy with international recyclable mediums and beach sand are layered under the Oil and metallic pigments. Heat is applied before glazing. Painting sides are 1.75" archival wood with textured edges to match front; requiring no frame. Eco-friendly Archival Matte Clear Glaze completes this unique one-of-a-kind original artwork.
