- Over all this is in very fine condition. Right now the item is painted in an old coat of brown … moreOver all this is in very fine condition. Right now the item is painted in an old coat of brown paint . It looks to have an older coat of black paint. i did some repairs to the handle. if i did not tell you you would not know. So i have picked it up by the handle but it would be better to place a hand to the underside when lifting. There is a small sliver of wood loss to the one flap. See photos. the last two. I left this alone. Leg have never been broken or repaired. This item really shows its age to the inside of the two compartments. See all the marks and pits in the finish left by the pins, scissors and supplies that where once stored here. What a story could be told here if it only talked. less
