MAYNADIER
A rare French 1930 art deco chandelier in nickel plated solid brass or bronze by Maynadier.
The Paris France based company of Pierre Maynadier designed and produced lamps in art déco style. He used glass shades by Muller freres and Schneider and Degué for his creations in bronze and sometimes wrought iron. The shades that are signed P. Maynadier were produced exclusively for Maynadier.
The nice and well-made original Maynadier fixture holds a thick shade made in opalescent frosted molded pressed semi-crystal. Nice milky blue or amber colors depending whether the light falls on or shines through the shade. It is signed P. Maynadier France on the rim. The pendant has a total height of 46,5 cm (18.31") and a diameter of 36,8 cm (14,5). It is in excellent condition. I have re-nickeled the mounting. And it comes newly wired. It holds an American standard socket.
