The origin of the IChing comes from a Chinese oracular book believed to have been written by the legendary emperor Fu Hsi more than 4000 years ago. It is based on the use of eight trigrams, which represent the forces of nature and their changes. The IChing is used to consult the destiny and wisdom through the interpretation of the hexagrams formed by the combination of two trigrams that we ourselves will create by turning the sculpture and following our instinct to remove one by one the six rods that will form our hexagram that later we will consult in the millenary book of the IChing and be able to reflect on its message.

This incredible work full of spirituality and respect for tradition was designed and created by the Zarpa Team formed by Juán Gómez Soubrier and Juán Carlos Martín García in the 70's, creators of important sculptural works such as their famous Capablanca cubic chess, which was selected and exhibited at the Sao Paulo Biennial in 1973.
