This vintage 11x12 Persian Kilim is believed to be a mid-century tribal rug, handwoven in wool circa 1950-1960.
Its design most likely represents a Jajim-style Kilim–a flat-weaving technique in which tribal weavers would combine multiple narrow pieces into one large Kilim. This particular piece enjoys a rich traditional play of beige and brown stripes with gray and taupe accents in its take on this style. It’s a simple piece of rustic charm and cozy presence with neutrals, and its versatile size offers vast applications.
This mid-century Persian Kilim further enjoys good condition for its origin, and is ready for the floor.
