This vintage 5x14 Persian Kilim is a mid-century gallery runner believed to be a Shahsavan tribal rug.
Handwoven in wool circa 1950-1960, its design favors traditional red, blue, and beige hues in stripes and geometric patterns on a rich brown base. Its natural abrash sits beautifully underfoot, and lends an air of rustic charm and old-world beauty to any project. Keen eyes will further note light stripes of embroidery, and admire their subtle complement to the texture and presence.
This vintage Persian Shahsavan Kilim further enjoys good condition for its age and origin.
