Process: First drawn by me on large scale black-and-white digital plotter print of nude model. Then many layers of charcoal drawing and latex paint applied.. The model's pose is then distorted and interpreted into shapes creating a kind of spatial tension thru color and line to form an integrated composition.

Beautiful initial charcoal lines are revealed through layers of washy grey paint contrasted against thick blues and blacks. So the viewer can see some of the history in making the image and therefore offering a richness of surface.

Complementary colors oranges and blues set off the strict architectural structure.

Almost 48 x 36 inches. Thin white borders on 2-1/2 sides that can be kept or trimmed off at your discretion.

Latex paint, charcoal on thinnish white paper.

Possible presentations of painting:

-This painting can be shown casually by hanging on wall with only pushpins at corners. Shipping is very easy and inexpensive with rolling the piece and shipping in cardboard tube.
- Also can be traditionally framed or mounted on heavy foam core by your local framer but still shipped rolled as above.

Some tears made during process of painting that have been taped on back.. Otherwise, color is bright and rich. See less
