Lost in her thoughts, the nymph with her graceful gestures is naked under a light veil emphasizing her feminine curves. She is smiling on her soft face, highlighted by her curly hair elegantly raised.
This bronze bears the artist's signature "Math. Moreau" on the terrace and rests on a rotating base.
Mathurin Moreau was a renowned French sculptor, known for his depictions of feminine grace and delicacy. He attended the Beaux Arts in Paris in 1841 and won the second Prix de Rome in 1842. He won a medal at the 1855 World's Fair in Paris, then at the 1878 World's Fair.
