Hand-crafted in France in the mid-20th century, high quality solid wood construction, finished in elegantly sophisticated Louis XV taste, having a stunning matched parquetry top framed by delicate cross-banded border with serpentine shaped front and molded edge, over proportionally tall case fitted with six dovetailed drawers affixed with ornate patinated gilt bronze pulls, flanked by highly figured walnut recessed paneled sides, hand carved fiolate shell motif scalloped apron, rising on cabriole legs ending in whorl feet in the front and sturdy shaped block feet rear. circa 1940s-1960s
