Finely cast, expertly chiseled and chased with a delightful stippled texturing throughout. Signed to the underside in a raised relief by the very well-regarded sculptor Akasofu Gyokko. His ouvre includes a broad line of wonderful figural animals (especially birds) as well as many Samurai figures - the work is almost always expertly chiseled and of exceedingly good quality.

Condition Report:
Trace wear to patina in a few areas (see photos), very minor. Carefully cleaned and sealed. A very fine state of overall preservation. Old museum accession numbers to the underside in red pigment. See less
