The rug that I am offering here has many advantage that the other antique rugs don't have, This is a … Read more The rug that I am offering here has many advantage that the other antique rugs don't have, This is a century plus old Persian Lavar Kernan, folks who are familiar with this type of rugs, know very well that majority come in floral pattern with a center medallion but to find it in beautiful panel design , which is semi floral semi geometric, makes it hard to find, and even makes it harder to find cross with a size like this 9' x 10' and finally is almost impossible to get one in black back ground, which is absolutely rare in this class or other type of Person rugs . As far as the condition goes, usually, Lavar rugs at this age, come with sever condition problems, majority shows foundation threads , unravelling , tear, and holes. This one has low even flat pile from top to bottom with showing some wear only one place shows some visible foundation threads, which is not very big and could be fixed but since is not big, i would leave it as is just to keep its original condition. This used to be in my own home for almost 20 years but after I changed my decoration to Art Deco I decided to put it up for sale. See less
