Handmade … Read more A beautiful modernist old newspaper stand / magazine rack from the 1950s. Designed and manufactured by Carl Auböck, Austria. Handmade of solid brass and thick black leather. The brass has been gently polished by hand and shows marginal patina. We decided to replace the original black leather, as it porous and damaged, we used high-quality leather, identical to the original. The news holder is in very good original condition without any damages. A timeless piece of furniture. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
