Anthony Ferrara (American, 1930-2012) - Still with Melon, Signed (1952, Oil on Canvas). Heavily textured expressionist still life with melon, orange, and jug. Housed in a painted black slat frame. Titled and signed en verso. Signed and dated en recto. In good condition with wear to the frame.

Anthony A. Ferrara (1930-2012) was a Philadelphia artist who graduated from the Tyler School of Art in 1963, and later studied with Ben Eisenstat at Fleisher Art Memorial. He is perhaps best known for his plein air cityscapes of Philadelphia.
