Old signed oil image "Women on the River" Dimensions: 127 x 80 This is an old very pretty oil picture … Read more Old signed oil image "Women on the River" Dimensions: 127 x 80 This is an old very pretty oil picture with the representation of St. Johannes (von) Nepomuk or Johannes von Pomuk [1] (Latin Joannes de Pomuk, Czech Jan Nepomucký or Jan Z Pomuku, * around 1350 in Pomuk near Pilsen, † March 20, 1393 in Prague) was a Bohemian priest and martyr. He was in 1729 by Pope Benedict XIII. canonized. The Jesuits raised him to their second religious in 1732. Nepomuk is considered a bridge saint and patron saint of confessions. This oil painting is unfamiliar and is in a good cupboard without a frame. See less
