Coast line in the background. Øllgaard uses eye-catching colors with the complementary contrast of yellow and blue.

Hans Øllgaard studied at the Danish Academy of Arts in Copenhagen 1931-34. He debuted at Kunstnernes Efterårsudstilling (KE) in 1933 and was a co-founder of the Danish artists' association "Linien" in 1934.
