The design enjoys stripes alternating in tones of bright blue, green, black, and beige-brown on a burgundy red base. Its technique, connoisseurs will note, is a panel-weave, in which multiple pieces form a larger flat weave. This is a time-honored traditional style that yields some of the most colorful pieces in mid-century Persian Kilims.
