A vintage 5x6 Persian kilim rug, handwoven in wool circa 1950-1960.

Connoisseurs may appreciate this design’s panel-weaving technique, in which tribal weavers combine multiple pieces into larger Kilims. This method creates the vertical stripes you see in alternating tones of red, blue, orange and beige-brown.
