The latter … Read more Elegant Library, Louis XV style, opening with two mahogany veneer doors, glazed on three quarters of their surfaces. The latter are made up in the lower part of skilfully domed full panels, embellished with vegetable marquetry. These doors have finely carved brass escutcheons, and the one on the right has a long lock with high and low hook points. The furniture is supplied with its key. The interior, in Mahogany, is lined with four 31 cm deep shelves, placed on racks and therefore adjustable as desired over a total storage height of 168 cm, insofar as the cleats are unscrewed.
This library is summoned with a cornice cut into a gendarme hat, itself crowned with a generous bronze shaped in shell, flowers and foliage. It overlooks a inlaid floral decor framed by a net of lemon tree, recalling the one present on the low -song Chantourne.
The front amounts are, above and below, enriched with bronze ornaments, and the four feet are embellished with hooves of the same alloy.
The ribs of this furniture take up a design similar to that of the facade, namely veneer panels, delimited by lemon nets and mahogany entourage.
Note the omnipresence of brass baguettes, more or less opened, highlighting with finesse certain elements of this piece of furniture, such as its cornice, its lower part, its front amounts, or the different components of its doors. It will also be specified that each of the ornaments of this piece of furniture is, in addition to quality, fixed by screws.
The reasonable dimensions of this library give it an interesting hostel and adaptability to even reduced areas. But it is undoubtedly his paradoxical refined character that will finish charming his future buyer.
