A raised star on the bottom is the company’s trademark symbol. How this pitcher survived for over 130 years is anyone’s guess, but the glaze is still quite blue. It would make a lovely conversation piece and valued addition to anyone with a farmhouse or country-styled home. See less

There’s also a hairline crack and chip near the lip and on the side of the pitcher, and browning and fading of the blue color. The type of materials and age lend themselves to these kinds of imperfections today. I’ve never seen an example without some type of defect, but it never seems to detract from the it’s beauty. less
