In the background we can immediately guess the campanile and the famous basilica. In the foreground, the artist has used bright and warm colors for my maritime life.
The sky is painted as the artists did so well in the nineteenth century, using the same codes.
One can notice at the back that the painting has undergone a restoration, very neatly done.
The dimensions of the canvas alone are 65 cm x 92 cm.
The dimensions with the frame are 74 cm x 101 cm.
