Piero Bertacco was born in S. Donà di Piave on November 30, 1924, and from a very young age devoted himself to painting. He attended the Academy of Fine Arts where his teachers were Guido Cadorin and Bepi Galletti, and his first solo exhibition was held at the San Vidal Gallery in Venice. In 1953, for the purpose of study, he moved to Milan, where, among others, he assiduously frequented and fervently bonded with Mario Sironi and Spartaco Balestrieri; also in 1953 he exhibited in Milan at the Saletta del Disegno. Returning to the Veneto in 1957, he worked intensively and sought in sculpture a new expressive need of his own. At the invitation of the Soviet government he exhibited in Moscow in 1961 at a review of contemporary Italian painting. In 1962 and 1963 the American Federation of Arts organized several exhibitions for him in the major cities of the United States, then in 1964 he participated with 5 works in the international group show in Geneva, in 1967 in Hamburg an exhibition that achieved considerable success, while the city's museum purchased a painting. Bertacco died on November 25, 1984. This piece has an attribution mark,
