During this time he made a name for himself as a naïve painter far beyond regional and even national borders. Franz klekawka (1925 – 2001) came from a typical working-class family in the ruhr area. His father came to dortmund from galicia immediately after the first world war. Franz grew up in a colliery colony. From 1955 to 1982 he was part of the workforce at hoesch ag and worked as a fitter at the westfalenhütte. (s-234). See less
