Born in the Northeastern … more An early American country farmhouse double pine board harvest table with beautifully aged patina. circa 1800-1810

Born in the Northeastern United States in the early 19th century with later element, handmade by a farmer, most likely skilled but with no formal training, primitive construction, utilitarian design, having a long rectangular double pine plank top with breadboard batten ends, significant overhang, and highly desirable heavily distressed dark rich original patina. Mounted atop sturdy solid pine wood base with simple apron, visible high-quality pegged mortise construction detail, rising on turned tapered legs. The base displays a mellow, worn, weathered, and faded old but later painted red-wash finish, with scattered nicks and minor chippy paint losses as expected, with areas of stabilization and professional restoration throughout.
