I flew kites as a child and I still do. Whenever I’m exploring the coast, I make sure I have a kite in the back of my car. I often bring my son, Zayan, and it’s lovely to sit back and watch him play the same way I did all those years ago. On one of our days out, the kite broke but he wouldn’t give up on it.
This artwork was inspired by that day out.
