This Rare and Unique Mid Century Regency Roman Goddess Candelabra Statute Table Lamp by The Fortune Lamp Company has a remarkable design, craftsmanship and beautiful distressed character.
It features two hand-painted lacquered metal Roman Goddess statues with a drape at the waist on a fluted gold gilded double socket candelabra atop a sculptured oval wooden base carved with laurel leaves, metallic gold rope and a turn knob switch engraved with “Fortune Lamp 1972” and adorned with a striking hardback round crackled laurel leaf giclee glow drum lampshade and an antique brass acorn finial. This statement lamp will add a classy old world element to your decor with its timeless elegance.
The Fortune Lamp Company, was based in Queens, NY and produced highly stylized lighting from approximately 1959-1975. This small boutique lighting firm produced some of the finest, most decorative lamps of the late 1950s to early 1970’s. They were known for their colorful, unique and whimsical designs, making them highly collectible. One of the characteristics of this company is that their designs were very decorative and elaborate and they signed and dated their lamps.
