This vintage 5x13 Persian Kilim is a tribal rug believed to hail from Meshkin—a small northwestern village known for its fabulous works. Handwoven in wool, it originates circa 1950-1960.
Further on the Design:
The bold design prefers medallions in a play of polychromatic tones and all-over style. Keen eyes will further admire a navy blue undertone to the more vibrant red, pink, orange, and similarly warm hues. This is an exemplar of its provenance in fine detail, and furthermore of versatile gallery size with vast applications.
Further on the Condition:
This mid-century Northwest Persian Kilim further enjoys good condition for its age and origin.
