Quite substantial … more Here is a solid tiger oak headboard, footboard and side rail set from the Arts and Crafts era. Quite substantial in its presence as well as weight, with plenty of visual movement and interest in the woodgrain. It can be utilized with the oak side rail pieces shown for a full-size sleeping arrangement. Alternatively, it can accommodate a queen size mattress by simply purchasing a modern full to queen size conversion kit and side rails. The queen bed will be just slightly wider than the narrowest portions of the head and footboard, but the top portion of the footboard does measure 60" wide (same as a queen mattress) for visual continuity. From a smoke and pet free home, currently warehoused in climate-controlled environment.

Condition notes: wear commensurate with age. Minor scratches and scrapes, very good condition overall for an antique of its kind. One of the decorative medallions on the headboard appears to have been re-fastened with wood glue over its lifespan, only apparent on very close inspection. The bed will be dusted/cleaned prior to being shipped out.

The wood portion of the siderails are 74" long plus 1.25" long attachment hooks at each end that fit into the headboard and footboard. Height of side rails is 11" at tallest point and narrows to 6.25" in the center. To convert to use with a queen mattress, modern side rails and conversion kit is used instead of the original oak side rails.
