-Rare work by renowned NYC artist, collector, and design expert ROBERT LOUGHLIN (1949-2011), who was known for painting his iconic "Brute" image (also known as smoking man or Marlboro man) on various found items and household objects. Black ink or paint on a vintage leather purse. Signed "RL" lower left, titled "1962" on bottom.
-Approximate dimensions (body of purse): 6" high x 8" wide x 3" deep.
-Good vintage condition. The purse strap has wear and cracks and the body has some discoloration, as shown. We believe that this was the condition of the purse at the time the art was originally applied.
