Marked, the taste of the Louis XV / Louis XVI transitional period.
It opens by 4 drawers, when it gives the illusion of having only 3, this on both sides which is hidden between the 3rd and the last of them (characteristic which would allow a royal origin to this furniture). Its drawers have all their oak bottoms, open by brass drawing handles and close by locks with the same metal entries.
The entire facade is generously decorated with marquetry. The 1st drawer offers friezes in placing light wood and nets. We find these same patterns on the sides of the furniture. The other 3 drawers are shaped in rafters for one, in butterfly wings for the other 2. The entourage of these drawers - just like the amounts of this piece of furniture - are in mahogany veneer. We will also find, in a moderate way, in front and on the sides, framing with Greek corners.
Its gray marble top 'Ste Anne de France', with a throat, is prolonged at the front and back, thus marrying the amounts of this piece of furniture which are too. Likewise, the song, in the central part of the marble, is cut back, just like the facade is, which gives a particular identity to this dresser.
It rests on 2 curved feet at the front, ended with brass hooves. The 2 rear feet are straight.
In addition to its unusual number of drawers on this type of dresser, this piece of furniture also has the specificity of being high on feet.
