These cellarettes became very popular during the time of the prohibition. The prohibition was the nationwide ban on the sale and import of alcoholic beverages that lasted from 1920 to 1933. Originate
This cellarette has its provenance from the collection of Anthony Athanas from his famous Pier 4 restaurant in Boston MA. It is very decorative as well as functional.
