moreA beautiful and rare vintage circa 1921 glass water pitcher with silver plated frame from the famed Hotel Miramar in Santa Monica, California. Because of it’s proximity to Los Angeles a number of Hollywood stars flocked there in the 1920s and 30s; originally built as a grand mansion in the 1880s, it was sold and converted to the Hotel Miramar in 1921. This pitcher dates to the opening of the original hotel, which was eventually demolished and now has been replaced with a mid-century tower structure. The photo I have included as the final image is a photograph of the original hotel structure, it was found while researching this piece and is provided for historical context only and isn’t included with the pitcher.
The frame is marked with the hotel initials on the front. In excellent condition, no damage or cracks to the glass, and it has polished beautifully with only small signs of wear/use. Made by Gorham, marked with the 1921 date stamp.

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
