During my studies at the Art Institute of Chicago, I found myself increasingly drawn to the fashion department more than the painting program. I was captivated by the way garments communicate who we are, how they can transform perception, and even shift the emotional tone of a space.

That period became a foundation for this work, where those ideas began to merge with my painting practice. In Green Fashion, I explored the freedom of working across multiple mediums, allowing watercolor, acrylic, and oil to interact in unexpected ways. Large, expressive brushstrokes bring a sense of spontaneity and movement, echoing the fluidity of fabric and the energy of design.

The result is a dialogue between fashion and painting—between structure and gesture, intention and instinct. It reflects an ongoing curiosity about how material, color, and form can carry identity, while also embracing the unpredictability that emerges when different disciplines begin to overlap See less
