Here the … Read more This dramatic piece dates to the late 1980s and was created by the American artist Janet Folsom (b1905-d1989). Here the artist has captured the American west with a modern twist with her slicing and twisting of the canvas as a type of border/framing of the central figure.

The piece looks to be executed in acrylics, and some areas seem to have an airbrush quality to them, or she had a light touch with her brushes.
