39" Tall, Hand-Carved Green Lava Stone Sitting Buddha - Greetings Mudra
Hand-Carved (using just a hammer and chisel!) from one solid piece of green lava stone on the island of Java, Indonesia.
Statue is carved from volcanic lava which has hardened into solid stone (basalt). Natural color and texture variations occur in the lava of this statue due to it interacting with other materials before hardening. Absolutely no filler or material has been applied or added to this statue.
