This office lamp No. 71 was designed by Eileen Gray for Jumo, in France, in the 1930s. It is made up of a chromed brass tube, a corrugated aluminum base and a lampshade with A double-sided mobile arm. The lamp is very solid and made with high quality materials. The lampshade can be brought in different positions for better lighting.
The foot has a heavy molding, which ensures safe support. with the original electrical system and the original chrome bayonet lamp, it is an emblematic lamp made of a unique blue color with a sleek design. The lamp is in original and overall good condition, with a few bumps in the lampshade and in the base.
Eileen Gray, née Kathleen Eileen Moray Smith on August 9, 1878 in Eniscorthy in southeast Ireland (which was then attached to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland), and died on October 31, 1976 (in The old Broussais hospital, in the 14th arrondissement of Paris1) is an Irish designer and architect. It is best known for having incorporated luxurious lacquered finishes on art deco aesthetics furniture and then evolved towards the furniture in tubular steel of international style in the 1920s.
In the architectural field, she is famous for having created the Villa E-1027 with Jean Badovici, a free interpretation of modernist architecture. After having been largely neglected by the architectural body for many years, she experienced a renewed popularity at the end of her life. Today, she is part of the "pantheon" of architects and designers who have marked this discipline of their imprint. This is evidenced by posthumous exhibitions and rankings for the historical monuments of some of his works. This piece has an attribution mark,

- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.

- Chairish Freight Delivery
