On card. In this painting the artist's palette is similar to Van Gogh's, with an iridescent rose in the foreground streaked with many different hues—pinks, mauve, white, yellow, blue—in a way that would not be found in nature. As with many works in this collection, it uses the technique of bringing out colour against a black background—move away from naturalism in the interests of intensity. The flowers appear almost as bursting fireworks.All artworks come with a Certificate of Authenticity and in some cases an accompanying text or artist biography.
