Charming antique hand carved wood statue from China, dating to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), is a woman with two buns … Read more Charming antique hand carved wood statue from China, dating to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), is a woman with two buns on the top of her head, flowing robes, and hands clasped in front. Her expression is peaceful, and you can still see one eyebrow that was painted in. She's in very distressed condition, with remnants of crackled paint in brown, red, yellow, and white. She also has a lot of cracks and chips and some termite holes, but she's still solid and should last another few centuries. The statue was purchased in the 1980s at an antique store in Guilin, China (the collector's acquisition number is on the bottom). See less
