Antique 18th Century French Pewter Tappit Hen Measure Lidded Tankard. Wonderful acorn motif at thumb piece to open flat heart shaped lid. Marked with crowned rose quality mark and makers initials. Short collar above a narrow neck with elongated wasted shoulder and multiple incised rings. Broad body tapers slightly to rim foot base. Possibly from the Picardy area of France. Very nice antique condition especially considering age and use and the soft nature of pewter. See photos for more details.
