Magnificent and rare extra large Art Deco Modernist magazine rack or stand. Striking Dutch design from the 1920s. Solid oak frame with original patinated brass tubes. This wonderful extra large Art Deco magazine rack or stand is in very good condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
The Modernist look of this ultra rare piece of furniture is also known in the Netherlands under the name Haagse School. The Haagse School was inspired by the designs of the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The famous Dutch Art Magazine Wendingen published a series of articles on Frank Lloyd Wright in 1925.
